Rethinking the Apprenticeship Levy
We believe in a more flexible approach to the Apprenticeship Levy, the funding pot
supported by businesses to drive apprenticeship training. To boost upskilling and development, we’re
campaigning to give all candidates access to the levy – not just permanent workers.
Championing refugee employment rights
Right now, people seeking asylum in Britain can only apply to work if they’ve been
waiting for a decision on their claim for over 12 months. After that, they have to choose from a
Shortage Occupations List. We work with the Lift the Ban Coalition to give refugees faster, fairer
access to employment.
Developing green skills
The shift to a green economy demands new capabilities. We’re using our unique labour
market insights to pinpoint talent shortfalls and provide an accurate picture to government on the green
skills needed moving forward.
